Life on the Farm

connect with the animals

      ...reconnect with yourself.

Life here on the farm is a wonder. An adventure that unwinds then winds back up each night. There are animals to be fed and cared for, there's always at least one, (but probably two) mini crisis that needs to be solved...and there are always beautiful connective moments that are just waiting to be discovered. Guests will experience many of these first hand...and in the process, reconnect with themselves and each other.

Who calls this farm home?

Madeline Farms is situated on 40 acres but is part of a much larger family of farms encompassing hundreds of acres in Page County.  Our herds are rotated through pastures to allow time for field recovery. Currently, we maintain a herd of Black Angus Cattle, Horses, Ponies, Chickens, Barn Cats, a farm dog, a donkey named Pilgrim, a family of ducks, a 2000 pound draft horse named Mack and one Gentleman Farmer. Recently, our first filly was born on the farm. She was given the farm’s namesake and was joined by Leonardo, a baby colt pony both are just a few years old today. We can’t wait for you to meet them.

Can I feed the animals?

The Gentleman Farmer thanks you in advance for helping him feed the animals and tend to their grooming and care.  In fact, we encourage our guests to feed the animals each day with apples, carrots and food scraps you produce during your stay for our chickens and ducks.

Farm to table? Can I collect the eggs? Pick my cucumbers?

Cut my kale?

You bet! In fact, all the weeds are free...pull your own!  Additionally, anything in season and ready to harvest is yours for the picking..if you’d like to plan ahead, call Farmer Tony and inquire about what will be ready during your stay.
